What DDD Approval Actually Means for Your Family

Navigating state systems can feel overwhelming, but understanding the funding mechanism is key to unlocking the support your loved one deserves. The New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) administers Medicaid waivers that fund services for eligible adults aged 21 and older. When an agency is designated as a “DDD Approved Provider,” it means the state has thoroughly vetted our clinical standards, safety protocols, and staff training.

To receive state-funded care, your loved one must have an active DDD budget and an authorized Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP). This document, developed in collaboration with your designated Support Coordinator, identifies specific goals and authorizes the services required to meet them. Once authorized, DDD directly funds the services, eliminating the financial burden of private care for qualifying families.

1

Guaranteed State Standards

Harmony meets strict state regulations, audits, and training protocols. You can trust that our caregivers are highly trained, screened, and vetted.

2

Direct DDD Billing

There are no complicated reimbursement procedures or out-of-pocket fees. We coordinate directly with your Support Coordinator to bill your DDD budget.

3

Person-Centered Focus

Our services map directly to the goals in your loved one's PCSP. We focus on individualized growth, social connectivity, and wellness.

Our DDD Approved Services

We provide four core services, designed to deliver a comprehensive, continuous support structure that adapts to your family's needs.

In-Home Support

Individual Support Services (ISS)

Individual Support Services (ISS) focus on helping individuals acquire, retain, and improve self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills in the comfort of their home. Our DSPs assist with essential Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and behavioral management.

Community Integration

Community Based Supports (CBS)

Community Based Supports (CBS) are geared toward social integration and skill development outside the home. Our CBS caregivers accompany individuals to volunteer opportunities, recreational programs, physical activities, and community classes.

To facilitate active participation, transportation is fully included. We handle all logistics, driving your loved one directly to community activities, local parks, gym sessions, and social events.

Family Relief

Respite Care

Caring for a family member with special needs is deeply rewarding, but it is also physically and emotionally demanding. Our Respite Care services provide temporary, professional relief to primary caregivers, giving you the time to rest, attend to work or personal errands, or recharge.

Social Belonging

Community Inclusion

Community Inclusion is focused on helping individuals with IDD build genuine belonging in the communities where they live. Our DSPs provide structured, meaningful support for participation in recreational programs, cultural events, civic activities, and social gatherings.

We work alongside individuals to identify interests, build social confidence, and develop the skills needed to engage with peers and neighbors authentically. Transportation is included, and every session is tailored to the individual's goals and comfort level.
